    Any news on that?

Sorry for the delay – yes it would be possible to add this kind of link. However this involves some changes in the PhotoSwipe code itself and I am quite busy with many other projects as well. I’ll see what I can do, but it may take a while and there are already many other features in the queue, like separate lightbox collections for galleries on a page etc..

As always – pull requests with code for additional features on Github are always welcome! See https://github.com/arnowelzel/lightbox-photoswipe/

Some things take longer than others – but I did not forget it.

The next update will include an option for custom links, so you can create a sharing link to anything you want with a custom label, placeholders for image URL, caption etc. :-).

But I’ll see if I can add Instagram as a dedicated option as well.

Hmm – it looks like Instagram does not provide an option to share things directly using a link only. Even https://github.com/bradvin/social-share-urls does not provide this and also https://sharethis.com does not have something for Instagram.

Do you have any kind of URL which can use used to share something on Instagram?

For example – for Twitter this URL is:

    https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Text&url=URL of the image

I would need something similar for Instagram to add this as an option.
