Instagram Embed Only Showing Link

  • Hello,

    I’ve been trying to get an instagram video to work on my blog. It looks like I am supposed to simply put the instagram URL into the post and the video should show up. However when I do that all that displays is the url (in the editor, preview and published version). This is happening in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

    This is the post that I am trying to get it to work on. https://headedanywhere.com/beautiful-big-sur-a-car-camping-adventure-part-1/ the video link is after the first couple paragraphs. Any help is much appreciated.

  • WordPress supports these oEmbeds. (Says only images are supported at this time) The full list of authors is here.

    Instagram has this this on embedding.

    Yes! That’s it. Thanks so much! I ended up having to wrap the instagram link in the [embed]…[/embed] code. But, the video seems to be working. Taking the actual linked above post down for now until I am ready to post it with the right instagram video in a few hours.
