• I’ve tried just pasting the url, as well as using the embed and instagram shortcodes. The instagram embeds work fine, unless it comes after the infinite scroll fires. Then get an embed, but it’s different (no image and different formatting).

    Is this a bug, or…?

Tested on WordPress 4.5, JetPack 4.0.2, and any default twentysomething WordPress theme.

    Thanks!

On another look, it looks like the issue is a little different than this.

The issue only happens if there are more than one posts with an instagram embed.

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Here is an example of the issue. I’ll keep that subdomain up and untouched for a while.

You will notice – Posts load, infinite scroll fires, new posts (and ig embeds) load, infinite scroll fires, new ig embeds fail.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks for looking!

    Thanks for the link?

Did you use the same method to embed the Instagram image in all posts? If so, could you let me know how you inserted it? Did you use an iFrame, or a shortcode?

    Thanks for the link?

Not sure what the “?” is for?
    Here’s the link again ??

Did you use the same method to embed the Instagram image in all posts?

Yes, I used the same method for each post. In this example, I simply pasted the url – https://www.instagram.com/p/BEZcuzAv_tc/ – into the text editor. I have tried the embed shortcode and the instagram shortcode (from jetpack) with the same results.

    Thanks again for looking!

Oh, I’m sorry. This was a typo, I meant to type !.

In this example, I simply pasted the url – https://www.instagram.com/p/BEZcuzAv_tc/ – into the text editor.

Thanks for the extra details. I was able to reproduce the issue on my end. I’ve let our developers know about the issue so that we can look into it in more detail.
I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.

    Hi Jeremy,

I have the same issue on my website. Could you or the developers figure it out?

@theonebq I’m afraid we haven’t made any progress on this yet.

I’ll let you both now as soon as we figure this out!
