• If you are not logged into Instagram on a certain browser, any page that has Instagram embedded will not render properly.

I believe Instagram may have just changed this, or perhaps I just noticed it? But, is there any way to have Instagram embed properly without a user being logged in on a browser?

  • Could you share your domain and which specific browser it is not working with?

How are you embedding? Are you using a plugin or just using the Instagram embed code supplied by Instagram post?

Self built… It was tested on Chrome and Safari and was working all week. It has been ‘not working’ since yesterday morning. I have been bug testing intensely for the past 24 hours, only to realize there is no bug on my end. I figured this out when I checked out other sites I run that just use the simple ‘paste the url into wordpress’ method, and they also didn’t render properly. I looked at other random sites I know had embeds. It was happening on all sites I looked at.

Then I wrote you here, and earlier today, I wrote a question on Stack Overflow (where I did not get a reply). Now, all of a sudden, everything is working again!

The only thing I did that may have ‘fixed’ this is that I just copied an actual ’embed post’ option from an instagram post. I pasted that into a static php page and it worked. Then, all of the other pages I looked at worked too.

It is like pasting that embed from instagram somehow fixed the problem. Is that possible?

Ha! Well, glad it’s working ??
