Instagram feed doesn’t show

  • I’ve enabled facebook, twitter, and instagram on my feed. FB and Twitter show up just fine, but instagram shows nothing. I’ve got my instagram access token (from my account) and the user ID for the user I want to show (another user… not my user account).

    Is there any sort of debugging I can do to find out what is going wrong with my instagram feed?

    Getting closer… I can see the error from Instagram:

    {“meta”: {“code”: 400, “error_type”: “OAuthPermissionsException”, “error_message”: “This client has not been approved to access this resource.”}}

    I suspect that I can only have a feed for my own user, not another user.

    That solved it. Lesson learned, just as it is for the Facebook feed, your auth token is only for your own user content… not other user content.
