I am using LS Cache with my Elementor setup and using an additional plugin Ultimate Elementor Addons to display an Instagram feed on the homepage.

Since I have been using LS Cache, I have noticed that the Instagram feed on the homepage gets broken every time I make a new post on Instagram.

It also happens once every week irrespective of whether a new post has been made on Instagram.

To solve the problem for now, I manually go into the backend and clear the CSS/JS cache. But this is a bit annoying.

Any help will be much appreciated!

    Hey @qtwrk,

Thank you for your reply and apologies for the delay in coming back.

Yes, some of the images in the feed don’t show up. We have 4 images per row, so some photos disappear randomly. See the homepage for the mentioned URL, in the bottom section.

    Information you ask for below,

the section below @thesaborco in your homepage , is the Instagram feed ?

and what do you see in browser’s dev tool when image no load?

    Thread Starter thesaborco

    (@thesaborco)

Yes, it is the instagram feed powered by Ultimate Elementor Addons Widget.

I will check what the dev tool when the feed breaks.

When i inspect the feed, i do see lazy load is ON. Could this be the culprit?

well , it doesn’t look like that way , if lazyload was culprit , it should be broken every time

but it doesn’t hurt to try to disable it though.

Hey @qtwrk i did not turn off lazy load for now. The feed is broken now. If you want to check dev tools and tell me what it is, please?

I am not a developer so not sure what to look for.

I do see an error appearing in the dev tools but cannot paste the code here. Please see for yourself.

hmmmm , it loads on me now , did you see the request to these images in browser dev tool -> network list ?

All good. The dev team at UAE checked the issued out and turns out CSS and JS minify were causing the issue.

I have turned that off for now and purged the cache.

I will keep an eye for any further issues.

    Hello @qtwrk,

I followed the steps as recommended by brainstorm force and switched off CSS/JS minification. This still does not solve the problem.

I noticed that the feed breaks once every week.

I have to manually flush CSS/JS Cache to solve the issue.

One interesting thing is that after refreshing the cache the source id of the Instagram feed changed. ( Excuse me for my lack of developer skills if i got this wrong).

Can’t paste the code here but what I am thinking is that caching could be the culprit as litespeed is showing contents that have been cached while Instagram source id changes and this results in the feed being broken.

Could we somehow remove the Instagram container from being cached?

I did come across this particular thread on the forums – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/litespeed-correct-settingsn-to-work-with-smashballoon-plugin/

Could you please guide me on how to solve this problem as this results in a bad user experience.

    Thanks

well , technically it’s possible , but that will require certain custom code , you can check ESI example here

otherwise you can try set the cache to shorter TTL , so it will update sooner , it may not be like a real-time update, but still should be better than default 7 days , like you can make it 4 hours or 6 hours or something

    @thesaborco

Were you able to fix your issue?

@heyy, Apologies for the late reply.

Nope still no permanent fix. I did try removing the homepage from cache but this slows things down terribly.
