• I posted a request for support in the support forum at NextScripts over a week ago. I got a response that was totally unhelpful which said

    Hi Lakauai,

Thank you for your interest to our products.

Instagram made a huge update to its infrastructure. That update brought a lot of troubles..

Most of the issues have been fixed in the latest updates. Please see here for more info: https://www.nextscripts.com/2017/12/instagram-issues/

Please see the status of all current Instagram issues here: https://www.nextscripts.com/known-issues/

Please let me know if you have any questions.

This was my original plea for help:

I purchased the Pro version of NextScripts so that I could post to Instagram and was hoping that it would be easy to get set up, unlike Facebook. I did finally figure out Facebook, but not before spending an hour or so. The setup for Instagram looked very simple, and I was hoping it would work simply. However, after I put in my login info, told it what to do with size of images, and provided a URL to use in case there is not image, I clicked Submit Test Post to Instagram. I got a very long stream of error messages, and I have no idea where to start to fix this. Please help!

    This is what I got:

Since the developer has not been helpful even though I forked over $50 for the paid upgrade to the app is there anyone who can help me figure out what is wrong and why my site will not post to Instagram?

I will probably end up filing a dispute with PayPal if I don't get a satisfactory response from the developer.

    Any help is appreciated!

Instagram recently made some very big changes to its authentication process.

Latest versions of SNAP Plugin and SNAP API are fully compatible with all recent Instagram changes.

Please see the explanation of the new authentication process here: https://www.nextscripts.com/2017/12/instagram-issues/

Please see the list of all recent issues and how to fix them here (your issue is #2): https://www.nextscripts.com/instructions/instagram-issues/

    Thank you for the reply.

I am trying to follow the instructions you linked here:
    https://www.nextscripts.com/instructions/instagram-issues/

    It says:

    login_required
    “{“message”: “login_required”, “logout_reason”: 3, “status”: “fail”}”
    Fixed in the API 4.0.42.
    1. Make sure you have SNAP Plugin at least version 4.1.1 and API at least version 4.0.42

    .

    Check. I have this:
    Plugin Version: 4.1.1 [Pro]
    (One User, Multiple Accounts)
    API Version: 4.1.3 [ID:19570]

    2. Go to Instagram account settings and click “Send Test Post” button.

    Check. I did this.

    3. You will get “You’ve got checkpoint! Please login to Instagram from your phone and confirm the login or action before trying to post again”.

This is where I have a problem. I did not receive the message “You’ve got checkpoint!…….” I received the same string of error messages I was already getting. They are copied/pasted below:

    4. Open Instagram on your phone. (There are much more chances that it will work, if you disable WIFI and do that from LTE/4G/3G/Edge mobile connection). Tap “This was me” button on “We have detected an unusual login attempt” screen.

I went ahead and logged into Instagram from my phone and did not see the "This was me" button.

    5. It will work fine after that. (Unless you are in 5% of the users who are using “bad” hosting provider or got account marked as “spammer”).

It is not working fine. Could I please get some more help in resolving this issue?
    Thank you.

@nextscripts, We’ve had this discussion before and I’m sad to see you’re continuing to ignore our advice. Please stop supporting your customers on the www.ads-software.com support forums.

@lakauai, As the author doesn’t appear to provide support for their customers I would suggest finding another plugin.
