instal problem while uploading the new theme

  • Iam new to wordpress. I want to instal a theme responsive1.9 . i downloaded it and went to add a new plugin and tried to upload the downloaded zip… but it says
    Unpacking the package…
    Installing the plugin…
    The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
    Plugin install failed.

    Help..
