Install and move on with what matters, good content.

Full-blown analytics solutions, like Google Analytics and Matomo (which are great, don’t get me wrong), are very, almost always, way overkill for the typical user. Lots and lots of data are collected, typically requiring cookie consent, and takes some effort to maintain and analyze if it’s supposed to have any value.

Koko is the complete opposite. Close to no settings, not a burden on the client, no (optional) cookies, easy for the users to digest — is my site being visited, yes, keep up the good work creating good content.

It’s not much, but it’s so much more than nothing. Absolutely a fine starting point for most analytics needs.
