• Michael,
I know you guys are talking about this over at github, and I think the extension idea sounds great! But it will of course require that it be added to an iPhone/Android app (perhaps the WordPress app?).

Quick question. Following all the instructions for manually adding the bookmarklet to an iPhone (creating the bookmark, saving it, then editing it and pasting in the Press This code), it does not work for me at all.

Have you gotten it to work on the iPhone?

I can follow those same instructions and add Pinterest, Pocket, Evernote, and they all work. For some reason the code from Press This does not work, Is there different code that should be pasted to a mobile phone?

    Thanks!

    Charles

Just tested it on the iPad and the bookmarklet works great! It’s just not working on the iPhone.

I will investigate further to see what I can figure out re: the iPhone.

BTW, I instalked this bookmarklet first: https://kawanet.blogspot.com/2010/08/bookmarklet-viewer-bookmarklet-for.html?m=1

Which then allows you to go to the “Press This” tool page on your website and then you hit the bookmarklet above and it exposes the code that you can copy and paste into the address of your “Press This” bookmarklet.

It does what the desktop version of the site does when you hit option and the Press This bookmarklet, it shows the code.. but does it on your mobile device.

Actually the website bookmarklet page on a desktop you have to hit control & the bookmarketlet to see the code.

on the phone, you go to to the page, hit the kawanet bookmarklet that you’ve already bookmarked and it will automatically show the WordPress Bookmarklet code that you can use to copy and paste.

I can’t make much sense of these instructions and one of the stumpers is this: the ‘”Press This” tool page on your website.’

What is meant by that? I don’t have a “Press This tool page” and don’t know what you mean.

I’m on my ipad IOS 8.2.
I’ve got the bookmark for kawanet, which I expected to *be* the “Press This” bookmark but it doesn’t do anything for me. From your post it seems possible I misunderstood it purpose.

Can you send me somewhere I can find complete detailed instruction on installing “Press This” to ipad?

    Thanks!
