I want my front page divided into two large <div>s with a Brightcove multi-title video player in the top <div> and WordPress in a <div> immediately underneath. Each of those <div>s would then be subdivided within.

I’ll be using WordPress to provide commentary and links related to each video the Brightcove player. The Brightcove player has the capability to link to the related post in WordPress. So the two components, the Brightcove Player and the WordPress blog will need to communicate.

Which would be better for the WordPress installation – Installing it in the website Root folder, or setting up a new /blog folder?

EDIT – Each component, the Brightcove player and WordPress, will also have a separate RSS feed. If I can use WordPress as a CMS and still do all this, that would be good too.

    Thanks
