• The truth of the matter is . I spent hours trying to install WordPress. I checked the settings and re checked. In the end in desperation I checked the help files with me hosting Company. Problem solved they do not allow Third party installations. End of story. So members who say they have all the set up in wp-config.php correct. Then check with your hosting company.
The settings I used I Know would work . as I went to mysql and used the same info as I did in the wp-config.php file.
Hope this will help some of you who insist your settings are correct.

  • Would be interesting to know your host.

Hosting companies will say they don’t ‘suppport’ 3rd party applications, but usually that means, “if you can’t get it to work, then we won’t help you!”

If a hosting plan meets minimum requirements, typically WordPress will work if configured properly.
