• Hi,

I recently migrated a site to wordpress and was looking to add a “books/amazon store” section to the site when i came across this plugin.

The plugin looks quite nice and i think it might well suit my requirement.

What i would like to know is whether it is possible to simply “plug it” into an existing website or do i need some sort of a modification for it?

Can i just create a category called “books” and add the books like a normal post? or Do i have to add the books in the admin for the plugin and use a shortcode that can be copy/pasted into a new page?

Noticed the demo site does not have any pagination? does it have the support for pagination incase i add more than x number of books or if i want to show only x number of books in a page? (or does it use the default wordpress number)?

How easy it is to add an another store?

    Thanks,

Also, is the pricing valid for lifetime or do i need to “renew” after a year

To update my own questions, i watched the video and added it to a site to test it out.

After that, i see the options for pagination and also see how easy it is to add the books.

    Few more questions however

    1. The default breadcrumb is <books – author name – book name>. Is it possible to remove the author name from here?
    2. If i add a new author what will happen if a user with the same name exist? Is it possible to link an existing user to an author?
    3. Is it possible to add a nofollow link to the amazon (or any other) store links by default?

    Praveen,

    1. We already have improvements to the breadcrumbs system planned. Look for it in one of the upcoming new versions of the plugin.

    2. If you add a new author the old author or user will still exist. There should be no problem.

    3. Not that I know of. That is an interesting idea though. Are you wanting to do that for SEO reasons?

    Thomas,

    1. Great. Once it is out i will get the pro edition.

    2. The reason i asked you about the duplicate authors it becomes (or rather might become) an issue when there are 2 pages for the same person. Taking my case as an example, i have already created an username/id for Dan Brown (just for example). Once i install the plugin, then i will have to create another id for Dan Brown (should i?) and add his books. The existing page would have been indexed and ranking for certain terms and by creating a duplicate page it negates the seo benefit.

    3. Yes, for SEO reasons only.

    Praveen,

MyBookTable uses its own taxonomies and post types so already having a “Category” for Dan Brown should be no problem. If you do have problems please let us know and we will look into them. But I suspect you will be pleasantly surprised in how well it works out of the box.

    Thomas,
I am quite impressed with what i have seen so far. I am just waiting for the breadcrumbs fix to get the PRO edition for my site.

    Praveen,

We have made some fixes to the breadcrumb system. Let me know what you think.
