Install on Google Cloud Console
-
Hi guys.
Ive been making researching but havent found much and im getting tired of crumbs so here i am. ??
I have a client that WANTS VERY BAD to have wordpress running on Amazon or Google Cloud, because he will be able to scale and traffic wont be an issue. For the record he don’t know nothing about much about tech. Now he have heard some friends suggestions and he ask me to do that and now im on the spot. So if anyone in the community could help, drop me a line, that way i could know what my next move will be. I want to give the best advice and keep the project going in the right direction. The whole project its done and is running on a shared hosting.
The website WILL make a lot of traffic (i know that by fact) and i know a lot about wordpress (relative speaking) but servers are not my strong. Im not saying i do not know about hosting, vps, ssh, etc… but i have my limits on knowledge when comes to performance, security, scaling and traffic. I have break my vps few times and get even hack in a short time, you see, not my strong!
I dont want to experiment with a client, but before i outsource and hire someone or learn and do it myself i want to know how this work or if it works for that matter.
Its a bad or good idea to run WP on cloud services like amazon or google?
He sent me this: https://cloud.google.com/solutions/wordpress/For the record I already suggest things like Pagely, WPEngine, GoDaddy for WP and so on and he didn’t want that, he just want the CLOUD!!!. -_-
So im here to ask about how it is, how the experience is, how does it work, its it worth it, how much management require, pros and cons?… well i guess any kind of feedback i will be thankful, like always. ??
