Install or upload to a Claranet site

    My webhost Claranet claim not to support wordpress. My package from them includes a MySql database. I’ve tried to upload wp into the root directory using filezilla.
    As far as I can tell the upload is successful but I do not see anything different when I visit the site.
    Have I missed something?

  • When you upload the wordpress folder to root of the website and make the changes in wp-config.php. You have to run install.php page and then locate the database during installation. If you have done these steps then your installation should be successful. You’ll see wordpress installed with default theme on the site.
