Install randomly changed Site Address (URL) to remove www.

Something that you have done (accidentally or unknowingly) might have removed the www part.

It looks like my wp_options table was updated using phpmyadmin. I am having my hosting company look into the issue as it was not done by me.

If it is indeed someone trying to hack my site, any clue why they would change my settings to remove the www. from the site address url and the wordpress address url?

If you think your site is being hacked I suggest you change your password if you haven’t already. Also you may want to secure you’re WordPress Install if you haven’t already. If www. has been removed from your site address url and the wordpress address url, you can simply add it back by going to Settings >> General and adding it back, and logging in again. If the problem persists come back.

I am running a malware scanner on my computer to make sure I do not have any issues.

So far it looks like just the www. was removed which I added back already. I will look at some of the recommended sites above.

No malware and my account was not compromised.

There was an issue with my hosting provider that is now being looked into.
