Install www.ads-software.com on Bluehost

  • Hello, totally new to this. I want o start blogging and would like to use www.ads-software.com instead of .com

    I installed wordpress through Bluehost and cant tell if it installs .org or .com. how can I tell? Please help. Thanks in advance!

    WordPress.com is a hosting service in competition with BlueHost. BlueHost installs a copy of the software from www.ads-software.com (along with some extra plugins).

    If you still can’t figure out how to proceed then call Bluehost and ask them for further help.

    You’re on the right track by asking us and it’s pretty easy but you might need a few moments of help to get started.

    I’m wondering in particular if you purchased a domain name… you will need one. Those people at Bluehost should be able to guide you through this and once you actually install the WordPress itself you will see a Welcome screen and have more questions.

    Feel free to come back here and ask or search the internet for more guidance but right now I think Bluehost should be the place to turn to.

    Once your WordPress starts running I’d encourage you to jump in there and start blogging. You’ll probably get a sense of accomplishment once you see your words on your website.

    Hey, You are using .org zip files. wordpress.com don’t give access to there files, so no other third party can use :).

    www.ads-software.com is a self-hosted version of WordPress. You are provided with many plugins and customized themes to make your own blog more functional. You have full freedom in .org as compared to .com.

    When you install WordPress through Bluehost, it is like downloading the software from www.ads-software.com.
    WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are separate from each other. It’s a little confusing, but WordPress.com is a webhost, similar to Bluehost, HostGator, GoDaddy, etc. They use the WordPress software, but are not part of www.ads-software.com.
    www.ads-software.com doesn’t provide any hosting, but you can go there to download the WordPress software to use with other webhosts.

    My suggestion is, BlueHost, DreamHost, Godaddy and, SiteGround is the best hosting provider for WordPress. Stay with your present one and if you face any problem ask your support to the support forum.
