Install works – but not properly – Lost – links

Seem to install ok.
I go to https://localhost/wordpress/index.php
Logged in ok
Then I get the default index page – good, everything appears to work.

Problem-
Any link or anything i click on I get crap – why is this? see below:
localhost – /wordpress/

Basically i just get the directory structure , but don’t go anywhere.
