I have installed WP in the site root. I have edited the wp-config.php file with correct info but when I try and run install I get this:
Warning: require(/home/sites/www.churchhousekington.co.uk/web/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/sites/www.churchhousekington.co.uk/web/wp-settings.php on line 21

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/sites/www.churchhousekington.co.uk/web/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’/usr/local/php5.6.4/lib/php’) in /home/sites/www.churchhousekington.co.uk/web/wp-settings.php on line 21

I have tried in a sub directory and directly within the root. What I am doing wrong?

Are you sure you uploaded all the files?

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

Thank you very much, all sorted now. I had not realised that some up-loaders were unreliable at overwriting files. James
