Installation Concerns

  • Concerns for installation:

    1. My website has multiple subwebs and subdirectories. When installing wordpress in root web, is there anything I should be concerned about in regards to the subwebs and other files?

    2. I have wordpress installed in a subdirectory, is there anything I should worry about in installing a second blog in the root web?

    3. When installing a second blog in same database. In the config file, the line “$table_prefix = ‘wp_’; “, is this the actual prefix that needs to be changed?

  • 1. Not really… except the 404. WP tends to “overtake” that, not letting your custom 404 page to be displayed. But there is workaround

    2. I have
    example.com – WP (in the root)
    example.com/wp1
    example.com/wp2
    example.com/wp3
    subdomain.example.com/wp4

    3. Yes, change that to whatever you want, don’t forget the _
    wp2_
    moshu_ ??
