Installation. cPanel ?

  • Hey everyone, my host server has just sent me this email:

    You can install WordPress via your cPanel control panel -> Fantastico -> WordPress.

    However, I have no idea what a cPanel is, let alone how to log into it!

    Can someone please help?

  • cpanel is a site management application (ie lets you set up databases, create email addresses, check stats etc).

    Most sites with cpanel that I’ve used are accessible by going to the following in your browser:

    htpp://www.yoursite.com/cpanel/

    Obviously, you need to change the https://www.yoursite.com to your details.

    You will probably need to know the account name and password for your site to get into cpanel. Your host should be able to tell you what these are.

    Look on the left.
