Installation Failed: could not copy files

I’m getting the same thing… I tried changing the permissions AND the ownership of the upgrade directories without any success…

Try installing this: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/memory-bump/

If that fails, try a manual upload.

After putting some debug code into the class-wp-filesystem-direct.php file.

The permission issues are with the wp-admin directory, wp-trackback.php, index.php, and wp-settings.php .
