Installation failed: could not create directory

Hello, I’m having problems with all of my installations after the last update.
First, there was an error re-indexing:
Object xxxxx of xx processed.
Now, nothing works within WordPress. I can’t update or edit plugins. This is the message I receive:
Installation failed: could not create directory
What can I do? I can’t even edit the site’s files via FTP.
