installation issue

  • i am using xamp and i downloaded wordpress but when i try to install it it shows the text ” This site can’t be reached 127.0.0.1 refused to connect.” although local host is working properly what is the solution to fix this issue thanks in advance

    I want to know have you start your xamp control panel or not.

    And did you extract downloaded wordpress inside htdocs folder or not.

    yes i did start xamp and i extract the file of wordpress in htdocs

    If you try to visit https://localhost does it make any difference or does it also refuse to connect?

    If so, did you configure XAMPP to work on a port other than port 80?

    My suggestion would be to revisit the XAMPP installation instructions and carefully check them step by step. It sounds like either your local server is running on a port other than 80 or XAMPP may not be started (Apache in particular).
