Installation issue (on Hostgator)

  • I tried to install Word Press via HostGator, I went through the whole process. I clicked on finish installation and received my username, password and link. But when I try to access the Website or the screen to log as an admin, it does not work and I get the message “Oops! Google Chrome could not find vavavoomtv.com”. The link to my site is https://www.vavavoomtv.com

    I have re-done the install 4 times and still nothing. Can u please help? Thanks ??

  • When did you register this domain name? Were you aware that it can take up to 72 hours for a newly registered domain name to propagate fully?

    I registered this domain name months ago ??
    The issue must come from somewhere else.

    Well, it’s not a WordPress issue – that’s for sure. Have you tried contacting your hosts and/or domain registrars about it?

    Your domain name is still pointing to
    Nameservers : ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

    You need to change that in your registrar so the domain name points to Hostgator.

    This is a DNS issue as mentioned above, a simple update of your DNS to the proper settings will ensure your running on Hostgator in the next 72 hours.

    1. Contact Hostgator and say what NAME SERVERS should I point my domain to.

    2. Contact your Domain registrar and tell them to show you how to update your DNS to poin to the new settings.

    3. Smile you are now working with WordPress ??
