    I bought a domain at namecheap.com
    I bought hosting there as well.
    I used Softaculous to install wordpress to the site.
    After installation, I clicked the hyperlink to go edit word press and got a “Page cannot be displayed” error. Tried again, same thing. Tried an hour later, same thing.
    Removed wordpress.
    Installed again. Same error page.
    Watched some tutorials, they were doing the same things as me, but their link worked after install.
    Removed and reinstalled precisely following a step by step tutorial, still an error page.

    What am I doing wrong? I’m about to lose it.

  • What is the domain name? IF you just registered it, it may not be fully propagated and functional yet.

    Be advised that it can take up to 48 hours to become fully propagated and available; this is normal.

    The tutorials you followed were “time delayed” ??

    Contact your host who should be able to provide you with a temporary URL to use in the meantime.

    It was propagation. Took longer than usual due to me not directing the DNS to my host. I figured it was automatic seeing as how the domain and hosting were purchased at the same time from the same company, but nope.

    So, this has been resolved.
