• Hi there. I work for a an online retailer that uses Magento. We have a blog section of the site, and would like to use WP (incl a WP blog theme) for this.

I understand that I need to install WP in https://www.domain.com/blog, but have no idea where to start. All advice online seems to be either for WP blogs or whole WP websites.

If I ask the developers to install WP on https://www.domain.com/blog, will I have access to WP as the blogging CMS? Or will it need to be worked on by developers?

Once installed, can the WP stay hidden until I’ve moved all our posts over to it, keeping the old blog going in the meantime?

  • If you use Auto-installer like Softaculous, write directory name i.e “blog” at the end of the domain while installation.

If you want to install manually then create a folder on public_html name ‘blog’ and upload wordpress installation file on this , create database, edit config file and install…
