Confused about “Network Activate” versus individual site activation.

I want the calendar on the main site to feed the sub-sites. So do I choose to Network Activate the plugin in the multisite admin area, or do I choose my main site and activate the plugin? If so, I would then need to activate the plugin on all of the subsites as well, correct?

  • Hi – yes, you need to network activate the plugin. Once you have done so, you set up the events on your main site. Then create ics imports on the various subsites, in each case being just for the feed which picks up the appropriate events for that particular subsite. You will need to have first set up Timely in the normal way on each subsite, having activated it at network level.

tashmina – thank you so much; that is exactly what I needed to know. The SETUP is the key to any good plugin or software.
