Installation page is showing as a white blank page

Have you tried checking your server’s error logs for messages? Your hosts should be able to help you accessing the logs.

There are no error messages in the log file for nginx

Anything in site’s error logs?

no nothing. there are no errors just a blank page.

Was WordPress installed before you upgraded to PHP 7?

Which version of WP are you trying to install. ? Also is it a fresh install. ?

it is a fresh install and it is the last version of WP

The latest version of WP is compatible with PHP 7. So I guess you need to get in touch with your hosting provider. Maybe there is some configuration issue while upgrading to PHP 7.

i have a VPS server on digitalocean they don’t know what the issue could be.

everything else is ok on the server. i installed all the php7.0 modules i can give you the php info if it would be of use.

Have you turned on the error reporting for PHP in your config file so that you could see the underlying error. ?

All my other sites which i installed before the update are working correctly. I will try to upload the files manually from FTP and see if that helps. Maybe there is something missing in the repository i downloaded the file from.

You could try turning on debug mode in wp-config.php

This will show you output, warnings and errors. Here’s a Codex article showing you how to enable debug mode.
