Installation Problem – Step 1

  • I’m unzipped and uploaded the files to my website in a subfolder called wordpress. When I go to the 1st step of installation (https://www.specialsbyzip.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php and enter the blog name and my e-mail, a page loads that lists each table and says it cannot be created. I suspect this had to do with a firewall that my webhost has. Any way around this? Am I wrong?

    Your help would be appreciated!

  • Just a thought: has the DB user ALL the privileges? i,e, to create, alter etc. the tables?
    Check it on the page where you created the DB in your host’s admin interface.
