I’m having a problem installing this plugin in my dev environment on 2 separate machines. Both machines run WAMPSERVER 3.0.4, and both of them freak out horribly when trying to activate this plugin. The current machine I’m on throws a php function recursion error:
Fatal error: Maximum function nesting level of '256' reached, aborting! in D:\www\newsite\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\common\vendor\lucatume\di52\src\tad\DI52\Bindings\Resolver.php on line 339

The other machine throws a similar error, but instead of recursion, it’s memory usage, but both report the same line in Resolver.php.

I’m trying to evaluate this plugin to see if it meets our needs, but this is not a promising start. I see that others seem to be having issues with this version crashing their site. Is this a common occurrence with this plugin? How can I fix this and install the plugin?

We are currently experiencing a problem with our 4.4 release on Windows.

For the moment, you should be able to revert to the 4.3.5 version to avoid the problem.

We are hoping to get a fix soon, but we need to get our hands on a development Windows Server ??

Thanks for the reply. Where can I get 4.3.5? I am trying to install for the first time, so I don’t have anything to revert to. All the download links I’ve seen are for 4.4.0.1.

Got the exact same problem on Wamp. I’ve installed the 4.3.5 seemlessly. Waiting for the update on this thread when the 4.4 will be fixed.

Still have the same issue. 4.4.0.1 was the version I was having issues with when I first posted this, (See my second post about the download link).

Hi Shelby,
If you look further up in the thread, you’ll see that I had already found 4.3.5, however, I’m posting now because the 4.4.1.1 update seems to have fixed the function recursion installation error on Windows. Thanks!
