I have the plugin installed but I’m uncertain of next steps. Is there any documentation possibly? I’ve created Group Types and associated the access I want. Do I just need to make those purchase links live on the site now? And once someone purchases that it will show up under ‘Manage Groups’? Is the purchaser automatically added as the ‘group leader’?

I was also confused where I should be putting the Signup link. Where is the Group Leader’s confirmation page?

Place this shortcode on your Group Leader’s confirmation page to show their member signup link.
    [MM_Group_SignUp_Link]

Thank you for any assistance and sorry if this is super basic.

Hi there! Thanks for using the Groups plugin! We are planning on developing documentation in the coming months – sorry there isn’t any at the moment. I can get how frustrating that can be.

With where you are currently at, you just need to copy your checkout page links and put those on your site for people to purchase through. These are different than the MemberMouse checkout page links… mainly in that they contain an extra query string parameter at the end of the link, which tells the checkout page that this purchase is for a GROUP purchase.

    Shortcodes:
    – Make sure you add the shortcode for the custom hidden field to the checkout page
    – The [MM_Group_SignUp_Link] shortcode goes on the confirmation page. This is the page that is seen after someone makes a purchase on your site. Confirmation pages can be Upsell pages, thank you pages, etc. It’s the page you designate as the “Confirmation Page” for a specific product (alternatively, you may have only 1 global Confirmation page… this shortcode goes there). I’d recommend putting this shortcode in between [MM_Order_Decision productId=”(INSERT PRODUCT ID)”] SHORTCODE [/MM_Order_Decision] tags. That way this confirmation link only shows up on orders that is for a Group purchase.
    – I also like using specific products only for Group purchases. Meaning no one would ever purchase the product without it being associated with a group. That way my point above about the MM_Order_Decision tag works well.

You can also put this shortcode [MM_Group_SignUp_Link] on your My Account page.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
    Matt
