I installed the plugin and used the link provided to google.com to get a Site and Secret key from Google but it is not clear how to undertake “Step 1: Client side integration”.

Do I have to modify header.php for the first part?

And add <div class=”g-recaptcha”… to some other file on the site? Where? Can I do this with a child theme?

Is Step: server side handled by the plugin?

I am unclear where you are seeing “Step 1: Client side integration”–perhaps you are using a different plugin than Login No Captcha reCAPTCHA? With our plugin, once you have entered the site and secret key on the setup page, there are no further steps required. As long as you can see the reCaptcha prompt on the settings page once you have saved your keys, the plugin will just work from there to display the reCaptcha on your admin login page.

    1. Install then activate the plugin.
    2. Message appears: “Login NoCaptcha has not been properly configured. Click here to configure.”
    3. Follow the link to plugin’s Options page.
    4. Message appears: “Click here to create or view keys for Google NoCaptcha.”
    5. I don’t have any keys so assume I need to follow the link provided, to this Google page, https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin#list, and Register a new site.
    6. After Register, another Google page appears with a section ‘Adding reCAPTCHA to your site’.
    7. There are 3 sub-sections: Keys, Step 1: Client side integration, Step 2: Server side integration – see page here (redacted because it has the keys I generated).
    8. There are no instructions as to what to do next, so I assume I have to implement all three steps…?

    Hi,

The instructions from Google are for developers integrating to their site without a plugin. All you need to do is paste the two types of keys into the configuration and click “save”. ??

Thanks, that is now clear and I have got the plugin working.
