Installation wordpress on ubuntu server 12.04 lts

I am trying to install wordpress on a dedicated server.
After following instructions the website gives mysql module in php isn’t installed. I looked in apache and could not find mysql module AND not find the php module. After installing php5 I tried to access my website ( https://www.maniacal-loonies.eu ) and it only downloads a file that does nothing.

What is going wrong?
