Installatron Gave Me This Error

    Hi,

    When I was trying to install WordPress with Installatron, the installation failed and I got this error:

    “! A test of the selected domain has failed (HTTP error: 404).”

    I entered the domain I chose into the browser and it worked, so why am I getting this error and how do I fix this?

    Following that logic, if I enter https://www.google.com into my browser and it “works”, I should be able to install my own WordPress site on https://www.google.com ??

    Nope.

    The domain “works”, but it appears the site on it is a Squarespace site. So chances are the domain is pointed to Squarespace’s servers by CNAME or A record. You need to point the domain to this host (where you’re trying to install WordPress) before you can run WordPress.
