Installatron is blocked by Cerber Security to update WP plugins, themes etc.

  • Lately Installatron is blocked by Cerber Security to update WP plugins, themes etc. This is a new behavior. I made no changes to the configuration of Cerber Security.

    Looking at the Installatron debug logs I see the following error reported: “2020-04-24 11:54:17.08292900 [D5C5C1] [logstr:protected] => 2020-04-24 11:54:17.08276300 FAILURE [3; /usr/bin/curl] https://on of my web-sites/deleteme.wpmqba.php [http code=403]”

    Turning off Cerber Security will allow the automated updates from Installatron to go through.

    tech support form Installatron stated “That security tool probably updates its rules periodically and it picked up a rule that started triggering on the deleteme.wp????.php scripts. If the security tool keeps a log you should be able to see the rule that is trigging for that file. Then you can either disable the rule or modify it, depending how the tool works.”

    Any advise?
