Hi, I installed CleanTalk and now I’m prevented from logging on to my WordPress dashboard – Error 403 Forbidden
You do not have permission to access this document.
Web Server at realhealth4life.co.za

I also cannot open any page on the website itself. When I click on any page I get the same message.
Please advise what o do to rectify asap.

Hello,

Most likely Error 403 Forbidden is not due to the Anti-Spam plugin. Could you try to delete the plugin’s folder by FTP? The plugin’s folder is here:

/wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect

Hi Serge, thanks for your prompt reply.
I’ve managed to deactivate the app via my PLEX dashboard and now everything is back to normal, so it was Clean Talk causing the problem.
When I tried to open my website with the app activated I got a page say something along these lines.
“A crawler is activated for xxxxxx(my IP address) Allow 5 seconds for site to open.”
The website would then open but if I clicked on a page in the menu the error 403 message would appear.
Is there something in the Clean Talk setup that I’ve done wrong?

Anti-Crawler feature should not cause this. Are there any PHP or JavaScript errors from the plugin?

You can also try to disable Anti-Crawler option here:

Wordpress Dashboard -> Settings -> Antispam by Cleantalk

Hi Serge, I can’t find any record of errors on the dashboard. Any ideas where to look, maybe I missed something?
I switched off the Anti-crawler feature and reactivated the plugin but the same problem appears, even worse, as I cannot even access the website. I’m really disappointed as I was looking forward to solving the spam comments.
