The plugin installed just fine. No issue with integrating with Google reCaptch keys either. Works fine when I try it. However I am still getting fake registered users with random character user names. The numbers have reduced but not 0. The user registration all bear signs of being a bot registration. I am wondering why that might be. Any pointers to why this might be happening?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The most likely cause would be a custom registration page, created by a plugin or theme, that does not implement the necessary hooks to support a captcha. I have also seen spam registrations from real people answering captchas in the past–they only need one registration as an entrypoint to then use automated tools for spamming. Curious to hear the cause when/if you find out.

Hmm.. I do use a commercial theme (iBid), and also have some modifications to add fields in my functions.php. You are correct that it probably does require one real registration before bot takes over, as I can see one person name registration and then a few random character registrations.

Unfortunately I don’t know enough about webhooks and debugging to find out more but will see if someone can help me find answers.

Thank you for your response, appreciate you making the time.

No problem, good luck, and if you do post findings back here it may help others in the future
