Hi This plugin installed itself without anyone’s prior knowledge.
I spent sometime trying to figure out how to get rid of it as it was pretty stubborn. Kept reactivating itself, tried on wordpress-cli and it said it failed to deactivate. however I deleted the plugin using wordpress-cli and now the following error message is printed on the plugins page of wordpress.

he plugin?wpforms-lite/wpforms.php?has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

Do you know of any reasons why the plugin is plaguing our site?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @wurds, thank you for getting in touch and I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused.

When you have a moment, could you kindly inquire with your hosting provider if the WPForms lite plugin was included as a pre-installed component in your hosting package? Additionally, it seems strange that the plugin would install automatically without any manual intervention. As for the error message, could you please check if the plugin has been completely removed whenever you have the time?

    Kindly,

    Hey @wurds,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
