Installed new theme – why doesn’t main graphic appear?

  • I installed Coffee Cup and the main graphic (the photo of a coffee cup) doesn’t appear. I checked to make sure offeehead.jpg was in the coffee_cup/images folder, and it was.

    I also installed Northern Web Coders and had the same results.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Oops, I meant coffeehead.jpg.

    It could be caused by wrong permissions on the image folder.

    A note. The tags for the post/thread should be relevant words, like “headerimage” or something like that. Putting there a whole sentence is NOT helpful, because words like “I” or “a” aren’t going to help those who are looking for a WP-related topic.

    Permissions are set at 755 (rwxr-xr-x). Is this not adequate?

    Sorry about the tags; I’m new at this. Don’t know if I’m allowed to edit the tag, but if I can, I will.

    I have the same permissions (755) and it works. Maybe if we have a link to your site…

    This is what I get:
    The image a€?https://burke.to/wp-content/themes/coffee_cup/images/coffeehead.jpga€? cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
    If you try the URI https://burke.to/wp-content/themes/coffee_cup/images/coffeehead.jpg
    there is no picture. Try to download/upload again. Maybe it was corrupted during the upload. Pictures should be uploaded as binary files.

    The problem was the result of images uploaded in ASCII. Moshu – thanks for all your help!
