• Dear experts,
    I installed WP on my laptop together with wamp. Before I had Joomla installed there. So i just deleted all info from the folder “www” and put WP installation files there. WP works, however, when I just click localhost in the browser it shows the following:

    ( ! ) Warning: require_once(C:\wamp64\www/includes/defines.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp64\www\index.php on line 37
    Call Stack
    # Time Memory Function Location
    1 0.0010 244328 {main}( ) …\index.php:0

    ( ! ) Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘C:\wamp64\www/includes/defines.php’ (include_path=’.;C:\php\pear’) in C:\wamp64\www\index.php on line 37
    Call Stack
    # Time Memory Function Location
    1 0.0010 244328 {main}( ) …\index.php:0

    And not a proper wamp interface. How can I correct this error?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Did you unzip the WordPress core files into the www directory? The standard WordPress core index.php does not have 37 lines in it.

    What are the contents of the www\ directory?

    Hi jayhill,
    I created a separate folder in www directory and unziped WP files there but before I deleted all joomla files and I presume wamp files with them. So I think the question really shall I re-install wamp and WP again or can I just restore wamp files somehow…
    thanks!
