As soon as I installed this plugin, my site crashed
    https://easyfusionrecipe.com/

I cannot log in to WP-Admin either. I get following fatal error

No idea why this is happening, I’m afraid. You’re the first one with that issue so it’s probably due to some incompatibility with another plugin or your theme.

Could you try enabling the plugin with all other plugins deactivated? If that doesn’t work, try switching to a default theme before enabling our plugin.

To revert your site you’ll have to access your website via FTP and rename the wp-ultimate-recipe folder in the /wp-content/plugins folder.

I just noticed the following error on your website:

    Call to undefined function is_main_query()...

That actually indicates you’re using a WordPress version before 3.3. Our plugin requires 3.5 or up. Which one are you using exactly? I’ll have to recommend always staying up to date with the latest version (currently 4.1) for security reasons.

What’s most puzzling now is I cannot rename or delete the folder wp-ultimate-recipe folder in the /wp-content/plugins folder via FTP.

I can rename other folders within /wp-content/plugins/ folders.

    Any clue? Please help.

Sounds like a permissions issue. Your webhost can probably help you out. Just ask them to delete the folder.

Which version of WP are you using? Could that be the problem?

GoDaddy. On phone with them. will update in few min.
I could have older version, however, it’s quite unlikely that just by older version, the entire site will go down. Normally, such critical errors are caught in installation process.

Host was able to update permissions and DISABLE the plugin.

    Updates
    1) site is back with minor issues (few things are are)
    2) i can log in to wp-back end
    3) I’m trying to uninstall the plugin – it says – Un-Installation was not complete as it could remove everything from the folder … seems to me uninstallation process is buggy too.

Thanks for your prompt help but this plugin gave me a big headache for few hours and a quite a panic on Sun eve. Your plugin needs some work to be installed.

Could you confirm which version of WordPress you are using? Our plugin requires version 3.5 as mentioned on the plugin page so if you have anything less it just won’t work.

Uninstallation or permissions aren’t handled by our plugin, this is a problem with your WP setup.

Glad it’s solved, but you really should keep up with WP updates to save you from headaches like this.
