Hi there when I installed to my new location all was ok although I noticed everything was in the sub directory called installer – is this intentional? I’d quite like it to be at the root level although I did change my index. Php to forward to the sub directory. Odd though that post and page urls work with our without the installer part of the url but uploads only does so with the installer part of the url specified. Thanks.

  • Hey Tony,

That is strange, you might check the FAQ there are some settings if your using a MAC that automatically create a directory when the file is downloaded…

    Cheers~

Cheers, no this wasn’t on a Mac – TBH it’s not the end of the world – it’s sometimes best to have the core files not in the root I guess – I just wondered if it was normal for this to happen? Thanks.

    Hey Tony,

That is not normal. On almost all systems the archive.zip file is extracted directly to the directory that it is in. It may be the way zip-lib is setup on that server. Thats all I can think of at the moment…

    Cheers~
