I’m trying to install the WYSIWYG II Plugin and the directions have me a bit confused. Here is what the “Read Me” file says:

    1. Extract the plugin & the htmlarea directory into your
    WordPress plugins directory.

    2. Activate the plugin on the Plugins tab of the WordPress
    admin console.

    3. That’s all folks!

Well, I can’t figure out how or where to extract the plugin and other directory into my WordPress plugin directory. Can anyone offer up a step-by-step of where to go and how to get this thing installed? Thanks in advance!

heh it’s really as easy as that. your plugin directory is located in wp-content/plugins/ so just ftp everthing into that folder like the read me says and you should be set. Just remember to go activate the plugin in your admin panel too.

Decompress the archive, and upload the files to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.

Login to your admin panel, and click on the PLUGINS tab in the menu at the top.

Locate the plugin by name in the list of available plugins, and on the right side, click on ACTIVATE.

    Use and enjoy.

    EDIT: lol, Lawtai

Okay, so back to the basics. Where and how do I FTP the files into that directory? That is where I am getting hung up.

The Codex has a section to help you get started using FTP.
