installing a theme from WordPress

    I’m trying to install a theme from WordPress to set up my website, but there is no install button, just download. So where do I download it to? (Already have Bluehost and domain.com name)

    Once your in the dashboard. Go to appearance->themes and you’ll see “add new” at the top. You have a couple options from there. if your install is operating correctly you should see “featured, popular, and latest” themes. Or you can download one (they come as .zip files) and upload it by clicking “upload theme” in the same spot, “install theme” was in.

    Heres a good sight that has a bunch of free themes in a list. I’ve used a few myself. The download method depends on the theme provider, but you always upload the .zip file directly.

    So I guess if bluehost doesn’t allow installing directly from the “add new” page, then when you click download you should get a .zip file right? Then you just follow my instructions on installing the theme from a zip.

    Here is a link with the same instructions and pictures. Don’t forget to activate the theme after you upload it.
