Installing into separate directory

Hello all,
I’m trying to reinstall WP, and put the main wordpress files into a separate folder from where the blog will be.
I’ve read the faq on the wiki, which was very helpful, but I am just unclear on what files I need to keep in the blog directory – obviously index.php will need to be in there – but what else?
