Installing New Theme

Make sure you don’t have a double folder structure.
Should be:
/wp-content/yourtheme/yourthemefiles
not
/wp-content/yourtheme/yourtheme/yourthemefiles

I too am having problems trying to install a new theme, and I tried what you suggested and my theme still doesn’t show up. What should I do?

The folder should be: /wp-content/themes/yourtheme

I did that and it doesn’t show up.

When you go to https://yourdomain.com/blog/wp-admin/themes.php what do you have listed under Available Themes?

default and classic. The one I uploaded doesn’t show up.

It also says there is a broken theme, the style sheet is missing. I uploaded everything I was given. It’s a freebie.

that means you are not uploading the themes to the right directory.

while you think you are, as indicated by your first post, you are not.

call your host (they are being paid to take your phone calls– no-one here is), and when they tell you that “this is a wordpress” problem, respond that its not, its a “how do i access my web accessible files” question.

Exactly the double folder structure got me at first and I imagine it is a common problem.
