• My website hosting company, Startlogic, supports WordPress, but the version of WordPress that comes w/ their hosting plan seems to be a stripped down version. For example, it has an extremely skimpy selection of potential themes.
Can I get a theme from a third party (including WordPress free themes) and import them into my current WordPress site structure?
    How do I do that?

  • yes you can and just upload your themes to wp-content/themes but that has to depend whether the themes that you wish to upload is supported at the current stripped down version like you mentioned

    Thanks for that information, Richard.
When you say, “you can and just upload your themes to wp-content/themes,” does that mean that after I download a theme, I would be given an option to save that theme to a folder that is labeled “wp-content/themes?”

if you have ftp access to your server, yes

Otherwise you should be able to upload directly from in your admin panel appearance -> themes

If you are unable to do that, perhaps you are on some sort of multisite hosting which locks that down…..
