Installing on localhost requiring sample page – I'm stuck now.

    I am attempting to follow a video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ICXgLIzEHU ) to install WP on localhost. Everything was fine up until it was time to restructure the config file. At this point I kept getting a sample page instead of what is in the video. I have no way of changing all the stuff that follows the changes on the config file after I do it manually. How do I get what is in the video. Further, now WP is demanding the wp-config-sample.php file. Can someone tell me how to make the video work?

    Yes, do not use the manual method!

    Click the Create configuration file button and be done with it … I have never had this not work on any server set up, local or live ??

    Host: localhost
    User: whatever name you entered if you followed the vid, otherwise for XAMPP it’s root
    Password: empty, if you followed the vid and also if you used the default XAMPP user root
    Table Prefix: leave as-is
