Installing Please Help

  • I’ve down loaded WordPress, Unzipped it. There is no install.exe file? Nothing happens I tried copying the gobbledegook.php in to a browser still nothing?? Need to try it offline before messing up my website ?? Why doesn’t it just work? How is it better than older web-design programmes?

    WordPress does not run as an .exe file on a Windows machine. It’s a system designed to run on a web server, as part of a LAMP or LEMP stack.

    Go to localwp.com and download a free copy of that. It will give you a very easy way to run WordPress locally for development and testing.
